Prairie Bee Meadery is Saskatchewan’s premiere meadery. We are artisans who craft international award-winning meads from local honey.

Originating as a U-pick operation we have our own bee hives and continue to grow rhubarb, sour cherries and haskap bushes as inputs for our meads.

Drought over the last 7 years has forced us away from our U-pick origins and now we have reclaimed some of this area to offer a bee related educational tour – our Pollinator Pathway. Learn all
about humanity’s partnership with the bees and how vital they are to our lives.

Our inputs, whether grown onsite or purchased, are used to create our meads. We have more than a dozen varieties in a wine style which have won 32 international awards (London, New York,
Beijing and Canada)

Free experiences:

Pollinator Pathway is a family friendly experience will help you uncover humanity’s
partnership with honeybees – how they live, work, and keep us alive.

Suitable for all ages the Pollinator Pathway is a family friendly nature trail set out across 2-acres of native prairie wildflowers, enjoy a walk in the field, take a seat and embrace the summer. You will get hands on with an inactive hive and bee keeping equipment.

Honey Wine Highway is an opportunity to learn about the mead making process. Come and
view our winery equipment and find out what happens when a fruit press explodes. Discover
how our mead makers blend science and art to make our mead the most popular in
Saskatchewan. Round out the tour with some sampling.
